We place training at the heart of our health and safety policy and have evolved effective systems to ensure that our employees and those that work on our behalf are equipped to carry out their responsibilities.
On joining Longcross all employees attend our comprehensive, in-house induction courses which emphasise the significance of health and safety in our company philosophy.
All project managers attend a five-day CITB SMSTS training course, a four-day first aid course and undertake specialist method statement and risk assessment training. Our site managers take the same SMSTS and first aid courses and also attend the following passport training courses: working at height, scaffold inspection, fire safety/marshal, mobile tower IPAF, scissor lift and boom, PASMA, and hot works. All hold the relevant CSCS cards.
We expect all members of our supply chain to conform to our own health and safety standards and every subcontractor we work with will have satisfied our rigorous prequalification process.
