Whilst we can evidence our commitment to the reduction of construction waste, we also have a robust plan for future improvement which includes:
- working with industry bodies to ensure we are fully briefed on best practice strategies for waste minimisation and management on site;
- developing and analysing our waste statistics in order to identify improvement opportunities;
- working with our supply chain on waste reduction initiatives on an ongoing basis;
- only working with suppliers who abide by the Site Waste Management Plan (SWMP) Regulations 2008;
- education of our suppliers and staff so they can reduce waste through resource efficiency; and
- working with designers and other professionals to maximise their contribution to the implementation of SWMPs.
We have excellent waste management credentials and we are currently working with a number of key clients, such as Sainsbury's and Tesco, to further improve our already enviable performance on reuse and recycling rates.
