Longcross began working with Sainsbury's in 1997 after being invited to challenge existing procurement conventions for them. The first job that Longcross completed was a Sainsbury's Local Store in Victoria, which we delivered for 75% of the model convenience store cost. Hundreds of other projects have followed, ranging from £500 overnight exercises to £12m six-month projects.
The partnership is founded on mutual commitment, value for money, and high standards of work. We have championed innovations such as volumetric pod construction methods. We pioneered the first 'offsite' volumetric pod with a concrete floor suitable for use with terrazzo flooring systems.
